Impact Technologies, LLC is seeking a full-time Modeling/Simulation Engineer for our State College, PA office.
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for the development of real-time, diagnostic, prognostic, and decision support systems for a wide range of military and industrial machinery applications. Specific responsibilities include: dynamic (SIMULINK) model development and validation, engineering data processing and analysis (e.g. FFTs, filtering, etc.), military system/subsystem research, and documentation of results in technical reports and papers.
Requirements:
A degree in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics is required. A B.S. or M.S. degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience or PhD with demonstrated practical engineering problem-solving is preferred. The selected candidate will have a strong mathematical modeling background with associated analysis and algorithm development skills. Applicants should be familiar with many of the following areas: systems modeling (mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems), probability theory, knowledge reasoning systems, and signal processing.Development experience with MATLAB, SIMULINK, and LabView is required.This position requires an aggressive self-starter who enjoys challenging problems and working in small, highly motivated teams. Candidates should possess strong computer skills with a demonstrated ability to learn new applications quickly. A strong background in numerical methods, advanced modeling, statistical analysis, data processing and software development is a plus. The successful candidate should have good interpersonal and communication skills including those involving presentation and proposal creation and delivery.Significant experience with customer interaction is a plus.U.S. Citizenship or Permanent U.S. Resident status is required.
