Turbomachinery Design Software
For the structural analysis of turbomachinery Impact offers its BladePro-AF™ and BladePro-CF™ software packages. BladePro-AF is for the analysis of axial flow blading and BladePro-CF is for analysis of centrifugal (radial) flow impellers. Both software packages work with the ANSYS finite element program to provide the user with a simple way to build complex finite element models of turbomachinery. These powerful software packages can conduct steady stress, natural frequency/mode shape, dynamic stres,s and fatigue analyses. Either BladePro tool can import data from external sources and incorporates default material data for common impeller and steam turbine blade disk materials. BladePro-AF and –CF are used at any point in the design phase to provide critical analyses.
Equipment Health Monitoring Software
Impact had developed the technology and software modules such as: SignalPro™, ReasonPro™, FirstCheck™, VibeCheck™, ImpactEnergy™, GearMod™, PerformaceCheck™ and ImpactAdvisor™. These software modules can be customized and packaged into diagnostic/prognostic packages for specific applications and to address specific issues. As these are custom software packages, Impact would be pleased to provide a proposal on a customized software suite.
GPSys™ Spiral Bevel Gear Design Software
Impact offers its customers the GPSys™ software package for stress and fracture analysis of spiral bevel gears. This package works with the ANSYS® finite element program and the T-900 program from Gleason Works to provide the user with an assessment of the stress and crack growth rates in spiral bevel gears. The gear is “modeled” with the Gleason T-900 software to obtain the exact geometry and contact pattern. GPSys then generates a finite element model to be analyzed by the ANSYS finite element program. ANSYS not only utilizes the tooth geometry but the contact pattern as well. Finally GPSys uses a powerful 3D fracture mechanics routine to calculate the rate of crack propagation as a function of an operational scenario.
