Non-contact Blade Vibration Monitoring

 

Impact provides non-contacting turbomachinery blade vibration sensory hardware.  This technology is unique as it provides for the ability to monitor all blades in a rotating stage not requiring strain gages or slip rings.  This equipment has been applied to both steam and gas turbines, including hot sections of gas turbines.  This equipment works very well with Impact’s BladePro™ software to link blade vibration measurements to dynamic stresses.  In addition to measuring blade vibrations the system can measure blade extension and blade lean which can be indications of a severe fatigue crack.  For more information view Blade Vibration Monitoring.
